In 1932, a group of Unitarian laypersons established the retreat on an estate deep in the New England countryside. Senexet House, built in 1886, was chosen because of its ideal location between Boston and New York. Its purpose is to encourage and enlarge the spiritual and religious life of the individuals and groups who come to it. The house is ideal for groups up to 30 persons. It welcomes all religious retreats, family gatherings, counseling groups, young people's organizations, etc...
Senexet House is available to groups of up to 35 people. It is possible to rent the House for your activity under several different circumstances. For example, a group could choose to be a turnkey, bringing and preparing its own food and doing their own clean up. Another choice would be full service, where all meals are provided. On weekdays and evenings the House is also available for rent as a meeting space and/or for overnight retreats.
